How to back up a website to a local computer (for virtual hosting)
Published: 2014-12-24
I. mysql database backup
Log in to the hosting control panel, and click Database on the left.

At the bottom of the database management page, there is an operation item for backing up the database. Click 【Import/Export via SQL file】 to enter the export and import page.

Select the 【Export/Backup】 option to export. A SQL file named by time will be generated in the wwwroot directory.

After export, you can use an FTP tool to directly download it to your local computer for storage.
II. Website file backup
In the hosting control panel, click 【File Management】

Check the wwwroot directory, then click 【Compress】. After compression, a compressed package will be generated in the current directory. Depending on the file size, it may take a few minutes. You can determine whether compression is complete by observing the size of the compressed package. Then connect via FTP method and download this compressed package.

Note: It is recommended that the available web space be equal to or greater than 50%, otherwise compression and packaging may fail due to insufficient space! If web space is insufficient, it is recommended to first upgrade to a higher model virtual host, and then perform the packaging operation.
III. FTP download backup

IV. Back up sqlserver database (if the website does not use an mssql database, please ignore this step)
If the website uses a sqlserver database, enter the sqlserver database management interface, click the 【Backup】 button, and after one or two minutes, click the corresponding button to download the backup.

If you cannot back up and download data through the tutorial, you can submit a ticket, and our technical engineers will handle it for you for a fee. The specific fee depends on the size of the backup data. Ticket address: https://www.west.cn/manager/questionnew/submit.asp?lxid=16
