How to choose the right virtual hosting?

Published: 2014-12-29

Each website has different circumstances, so the hosting required is also different. To choose a virtual host that suits you, it is recommended to use 西部数码's Virtual Host Purchase Guide. In addition, before purchasing, you should figure out the following questions:

1.What language is used by the website program?

There are many website development languages. Common ones include asp, asp.net, php, etc. Different languages require different systems and runtime environments. Therefore, before purchasing a host, you need to know what language your website uses and what runtime environment it needs, so that you can choose the appropriate configuration. The programs supported by each virtual host model can be seen on the host configuration page.

Generally speaking, windows provides better support for asp and asp.net, and also supports php, while linux provides better support for php and jsp. Currently, common open-source programs, such as dedecms (织梦系统), 帝国系统, wordpress, discuz!, shopex, and ecshop, all use the php language.

2.What type of database do you plan to use?

In addition to the language used by the website, you also need to know what type of database your website plans to use. Some open-source programs have different database requirements. Currently, the database types supported by different virtual host models vary. The specific types can be seen on the virtual host parameters page.

3.How much disk space and bandwidth does the website need?

The disk space and bandwidth of a virtual host are important parameters. For how to choose, please refer to: How much disk space and bandwidth should you choose for a virtual host?

To meet user needs, 西部数码 has launched the 1G value-oriented 云峰主机, which includes 1.2G disk space, 18G monthly bandwidth, and a complimentary 500MB mailbox. It costs only 188 yuan per year. It supports ASP/PHP/ASP.NET programs and databases such as MSSQL, Access, and mysql, and can bind 8 domain names. Purchase address: http://www.west.cn/services/webhosting/v5.asp
