Troubleshooting Common Slow Website Loading Issues

Published: 2014-12-24

If you encounter slow website access, we recommend first checking the following methods to determine whether it is caused by server configuration or network issues.

1.  Check whether the domain name resolution is correct. For our virtual hosting, we recommend by default using CNAME resolution to the provided second-level domain (xxxxx.gotoipx.com).

You must use CNAME resolution to the second-level domain provided by our company. If the top-level domain cannot use CNAME resolution, you can resolve it to the IP and then set up a 301 redirect to the www domain.

In addition: domains registered with our company support CNAME resolution for the top-level domain.

2.  Ping your domain to check whether the latency is normal (Start - Run - CMD, then press Enter).

If the time value is greater than 100, the network connection quality is abnormal. In this case, if you have purchased a single-line hosting plan, please verify whether your hosting line and your current local line are

consistent. If they are inconsistent, we recommend upgrading to multi-line or dual-line hosting. If you are already using dual-line or multi-line hosting, please submit this screenshot to a work order,

so that our technical staff can check and handle it.

3.  If the issue is not caused by the above two reasons, it may be caused by server abnormality or program abnormality. For details, please contact your programmer or submit a work order, and our company will check the cause.
