2. Compress

First select the directory to compress, then click "Compress"

Compress file

Note:

1.    Windows compression format is rar, Linux compression format is zip

2.    If your files are large, compression takes some time to complete. After the command is sent successfully, you need to wait a while before downloading (You can use ftp to log in and observe whether the size of the compressed file changes within 5 minutes).

3.    The leading / represents the root directory of the FTP site, and the path must start with /.

4.    When compressing a directory, the format is /xxx/xxx/, and the format of the compressed file is /xxx/xxx/yyy.rar, and the directory where the compressed file is located must exist. The compressed file name does not support _, ., Chinese, spaces, and other special characters.

5.    After the command is sent successfully, compression will not be completed immediately; this takes some time. Compressing a 50M file takes about 1 minute on average.

6.    If it is a Linux/JAVA host, the system will return success only after compression is complete. If the amount of data is large, the page may be unresponsive for a long time or the script may time out. In this case, please use FTP to log in to the hosting space yourself and check whether compression is successful.
