Published: 2011-11-21
Backup process:
The following migration process requires you to have some basic website management knowledge. If you are not familiar with the following transfer process, you can submit a maintenance ticket, and our company will handle it for you for a fee.
I. Backup
1. Back up mysql database
Log in to our website, click"Business Management" — "Virtual Host Management" — "Manage" to enter the virtual host management panel, then click Database on the left, as shown in the figure:

The mysql backup file will be saved to the wwwroot directory.
2. Package backup

3.mssql database backup (If there is no sqlserver database, please skip)
Log in to our website, click"Business Management" — "mssql Database" — "Manage", enter online database management, click"Backup" button to back up the database asbak file, then click"Download Backup", you can download the backup file to your local computer or server. As shown in the figure:

II. Restore
1. Log in to your VPS/cloud host/server, and use the Website Management Assistant provided by our company to create a new site.
It is recommended that when creating a site, the FTP account and password use the original virtual host's FTP account and password; the database account and password should also use the original virtual host's database account and password. The purpose of this operation is to facilitate site restoration.
2. Download the compressed file from the virtual host to the server, then extract it to the created website directory. Then open the Website Management Assistant, find mysql management, and import the sql into the database.
For mysql restoration, please refer to:http://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=612
Method for migrating to linux server:
1. Log in to the wdcp platform and create a new site. It is recommended that the FTP account, password, mysql username, and password be consistent with those on the virtual host to facilitate site restoration.
wdcp site creation process:http://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=514
2. After creating the site, upload the site archive (on a Windows host it is a rar archive; if uploading to linux, you need to first download it locally, extract it, and then compress it into a zip archive) to /home/wwwroot/FTPaccount/public_html/ directory, then go to wdcp File Management and extract it.
3. Log in to the wdcp system, select "mysql database" — "phpmyadmin", enter the database account and password to import. Reference tutorial: http://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=517
If you backed up the database source files, please upload and extract them to the directory: /home/wddata/var/database_name/
If the sql file is too large, please refer to http://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=566 to import it using the command line.
After creating the site, if an error is prompted, you can check athttp://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=415 whether there is the same problem, and you can solve it according to the process.
If you are not familiar with the technology, you can submit the corresponding ticket and entrust our company's engineers to handle it; a fee may be charged as appropriate.
