2. Manual operation steps
The process for increasing the size of D drive after expanding a Win host is as follows:
If you do not know how to perform the operation, please submit a ticket and our staff will perform it for you. Select the ticket type as: Disk expansion/merge/partition mounting. A fee will be charged.
First, check whether virtual memory is set on the partition you want to extend to. If so, cancel virtual memory first and restart.
windows2008/windows2012 system:
Click Start -- Run, enter diskmgmt.msc and press Enter

Open Disk Management, right-click D drive, and select [Extend Volume]

Follow the prompts and select Next to finish.

windows2003 system:
After restarting, click Start -- Run, enter cmd, and open the command window, as shown in the figure:

Enter the following commands in sequence:
diskpart Enter
list volume Enter (displays volumes; find the D drive volume number, e.g.: Volume 1)
select volume 1 Enter (1 here represents D drive)
extend Enter (means add all remaining space to D drive)
The operation process is shown in the figure (the text in the red box is the entered command)
Note: Use the volume number corresponding to the actual drive letter to be merged.

Final prompt: DiskPart successfully extended the volume. This indicates that the expansion is complete. Directly close the command window and check whether the D drive space has become larger.
