vps, Elastic Cloud: Recover D Drive After Reinstallation (Applicable to Windows Systems)
Published: 2010-03-02
After the vps server was reinstalled, I connected to it remotely again and found that my computer only had the C drive, and did not have the previous data disk, the D drive.

At this time, follow the operations below to recover the original data and disk partitions:
1.Remotely connect to the server, and right-click My Computer on the desktop--Manage. Then select Disk Management, as follows:

2. Next, perform the following operations:
Right-click the disk without a drive letter and select Change Drive Letter and Paths

Note: Do not click Format under any circumstances, otherwise all data will be completely lost and this is irreversible!
3.In the pop-up window, click Add, as follows:

Assign the following drive letter, and click OK

In this way, the D drive data is now available.
Next, restore the website. Reference: http://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=608
windows2008/2012 is relatively simple
Right-click My Computer -- Manage -- Storage -- Disk Management, then right-click the disk and select Online. (In the windows2012 system, you can enter compmgmt.msc in Run to bring up Computer Management.)
