How to block and intercept abnormal IP ranges on virtual hosts/cloud hosts.
Published: 2026-01-12
Our company has monitored that since January 9, a large number of Guangdong IP addresses have been visiting users' websites very frequently, causing excessive website traffic or server bandwidth exhaustion, resulting in abnormal issues such as slow website access.
At present, we have collected some IP range addresses. If your website is severely affected, you can refer to the following method to block them:
(Our company has accurately blocked the abnormal IPs on the egress router, but there may be some omissions. If your website is still severely affected by Guangdong IP addresses, you can block all access from Guangdong Telecom according to the following procedure.)
1. Cloud Host
1.1 Block abnormal IP ranges on the Cloud Host through a security group.

1.2 Create a new security group. If the Cloud Host already has a security group added, ignore this and directly edit the rules of the existing security group.

1.3 Add security group rules.
Source IP:
14.16.0.0/12,14.112.0.0/12,14.134.0.0/15,14.144.0.0/12,14.208.0.0/12,59.32.0.0/13,113.64.0.0/11,113.96.0.0/12,116.4.0.0/14,116.8.0.0/14,116.16.0.0/12,119.120.0.0/13,
119.128.0.0/12,125.88.0.0/13,183.0.0.0/10
The above are the Guangdong Telecom IP ranges collected by our company. Blocking them has a wide impact and will basically make users in the Guangdong area unable to access. It is only suitable for situations where you need to temporarily block all access from Guangdong Telecom. Once the situation improves, it is recommended to stop this policy immediately.

1.4 Find the security group - deploy the Cloud Host IP that needs protection.

2. Virtual Host
2.1 Log in to our company's backend - Business Management - Virtual Host Management - Management - Request Limiting.

2.2 Find the Request Limiting function.

2.3 Add the following IP restrictions:
14.16.0.0/12
14.112.0.0/12
14.134.0.0/15
14.144.0.0/12
14.208.0.0/12
59.32.0.0/13
113.64.0.0/11
113.96.0.0/12
116.4.0.0/14
116.8.0.0/14
116.16.0.0/12
119.120.0.0/13
119.128.0.0/12
125.88.0.0/13
183.0.0.0/10
