Windows system uses software to synchronize data off-site (disaster recovery).

Syncthing is an open-source file synchronization tool that can synchronize files or folders in real time across multiple devices. Official website: https://syncthing.net/ Download address: https://syncthing.net/downloads/ , generally it is recommended to download the graphical interface SyncTrayzor.

Currently, 64-bit systems are generally used. Both the synchronization source server and the synchronization server need to install it. SyncTrayzor installation requires asp.net support; just install it by following the prompts.
After installation, if an error occurs when running: Failed to initialize config: config file version (37) is newer than supported version (35). If this is expected, use -allow-newer-config to override.
First, try clicking Syncthing -> End all Syncthing processes at the top of SyncTrayzor and then restart Syncthing; if it does not work, you can enter "-allow-newer-config" at File -> Settings -> Syncthing -> Advanced -> Syncthing command-line options , save, then end all Syncthing processes and restart.

1. After installation, start Syncthing. It may not respond on the first launch. Try clicking the following at the top of SyncTrayzor: Syncthing -> End all Syncthing processes then restart Syncthing. After it starts, you can switch the language to Chinese.

2. Set up and add a remote device.
Synchronization uses port 22000 by default. The firewall needs to allow the port first. For how to allow the port in the firewall, refer to: https://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=420
To avoid confusion, you can modify and rename the device name. Click "Actions" -- "Settings" in the upper right corner to modify it. For example, the data source server can be renamed to "Data Source End", and the synchronization-side server can be renamed to "Sync Backup".

Click "Actions" -- "Show ID" and copy the device ID.

On Syncthing on the other server, click Add Remote Device and paste the device ID to add it.

After adding, the other device will receive a request after a while. Click "Add Device" to connect.

After a successful connection, you can see that both sides are connected to each other.

3. Set up and add a synchronization folder.
Syncthing originally has a default folder called Default Folder. You can ignore this directory or delete it. If you want to delete it, click the folder, then click "Options", and then remove the folder.

Set the synchronization receiving directory on the sync backup side:
In Syncthing on the backup side, click "Actions" -- "Settings" -- "Edit Folder Defaults" in the upper right corner, and add/set a default receive-save directory.

Add a folder on the data source side:
On the Syncthing interface on the data source side, click the "Add Folder" button to add and set the directory to be synchronized.

Encryption is not recommended. If encryption is used, the data received by the sync side will be encrypted and needs to be decrypted separately with a command. If you forget the password, the data cannot be decrypted.

Since this is the data source side, the folder type only needs to send, so select "Send Only", and be sure to check "Ignore Permissions"; otherwise, permission issues may prevent synchronization.
Backup sync side server:

After the folder is added and the settings are saved on the data source side, the backup sync side will receive the sharing push. Set it up as shown in the figure. Since this is the receiving backup side, the folder type can be set to "Receive Only". After adding and saving, data will be automatically synchronized and downloaded.

To synchronize multiple different directories, just continue adding folders in Syncthing on the data source server. However, the backup sync side needs to add a synchronization request for each one, which is troublesome, so you can set up automatic adding separately. On the backup sync side, click the "Options" button of the remote device, and check "Auto Accept" in the "Sharing" menu bar.

In this way, when the data source side adds a new shared folder, the backup side will automatically add synchronization.
