What should I do when the domain transfer-out shows the prompt "According to ICANN rules, transfer-out is prohibited for 60 days"?

Published: 2023-03-09

The ICANN 60-day transfer restriction is due to a policy issued and implemented by ICANN, the global domain name management organization, on December 1, 2016. If the main information in the domain owner details (email, owner name, etc.) changes during a domain transaction, push, or ownership transfer, both the new owner and the original owner must agree to prohibit registrar transfer for 60 days. This policy is issued and supervised by the global domain name management organization, and all registrars worldwide must comply. If you encounter this notice, we recommend that you wait 60 days before submitting a domain transfer-out request.

If you actually need to transfer out the domain because it has been sold or for other reasons, you can disable "Domain 60-day transfer lock" in your account under Control Panel - Account Management - Settings Center - Operation Verification and Permission Settings, as shown below:

After it is disabled, the domain transfer-out restriction will be lifted. We sincerely recommend that you keep your domain with us. If you have any problems with domain management or feature usage, please contact online customer service or submit a support ticket.
