1. Preparation
1. Register a 字节跳动 Mini Program
Merchants need to click the “Quick Login” button in the upper right corner on the official homepage of the 字节跳动 Mini Program platform (https://microapp.bytedance.com/) to register a developer platform account for 字节跳动 Mini Programs.
After registration and login, during the beta testing phase, you need to apply before you can create a Mini Program.
2. Mini Program Creation Application
When creating a 字节跳动 Mini Program for the first time during the beta testing phase, you need to fill in company qualifications and other information and pass review before it can be activated. Please prepare the required materials before applying:
After completing the application information, wait for the review result.
If the application is not approved, you need to improve and resubmit the materials according to the feedback.
3. Submit Relevant Qualifications to Register a Mini Program
After approval, you can enter the backend to improve and manage existing Mini Programs, or create a new Mini Program.
Note: Only Mini Programs with an enterprise entity can activate payment capabilities.
2. Mini Program Release
1. Code Package Download
Code package download means downloading the Mini Program code package from the platform. Then upload the code yourself via the 字节跳动 Developer Tools and complete Mini Program review and release through the 字节跳动 Mini Program platform.
1.1 Configure Mini Program Parameters
Log in to the management backend, click [字节跳动 Mini Program] -> click [Mini Program Configuration], and configure the Mini Program parameters: AppID (头条 Mini Program ID), AppSecret (头条 Mini Program Secret). The AppID and AppSecret can be obtained by logging in to the 字节跳动 Mini Program backend — Mini Program Details — Developer Settings;
Note that after AppSecret is generated, it will not be stored in plain text on the developer platform. You need to keep it properly. Once lost, it must be regenerated, which may affect the normal use of the published Mini Program.
1.2 Configure Mini Program Server Domain Names
Log in to the 字节跳动 Mini Program backend, and in Mini Program Details — Developer Settings, configure the Mini Program server domain names. The detailed configuration is as follows:Click to get the server domain names
1.3 Download the Code Package
After configuring the Mini Program parameters, click the [One-Click Package] button on the “Package Code” page to package the Mini Program and download it;
After downloading, extract the Mini Program code package to a folder.
1.4 Install the 字节跳动 Mini Program Developer Tools
Go to the 字节跳动 Mini Program development tool download page (https://microapp.bytedance.com/docs/zh-CN/mini-app/develop/developer-instrument/developer-instrument-update-and-download) to download the 字节跳动 Mini Program Developer Tools and install them.
Note that you need to download the version corresponding to your computer. For Windows, please download the Windows 64 version. For Apple computers, please download the mac version.
1.5 Import and Upload the Mini Program Code Package
Open the 字节跳动 Mini Program Developer Tools, log in to a 字节跳动 Mini Program account with developer permissions, and choose to import a Mini Program project.
Developers can be added in the 字节跳动 Mini Program backend — Mini Program Details — Collaboration.
Select the project directory, find and select the folder you just extracted, and then open the Mini Program project.
After opening the Mini Program project, you can upload and release it.
In the 字节跳动 Mini Program development tools, you can preview the Mini Program and upload the Mini Program code to the 字节跳动 Mini Program backend.
When uploading the code package, you need to fill in the version number. The version number can be filled in according to actual needs, and it is recommended to keep it consistent with the platform version number.
Note that the version number format must be XX.XX.XX, otherwise an error will be displayed.
1.6 Preview and Submit for Review
Log in to the 字节跳动 Mini Program backend. Under Release, you can see the Mini Program uploaded in the previous step.
Use the 今日头条 APP or the 抖音 APP to scan the QR code on the right to preview the Mini Program (you need to add them in member management first).
After previewing, click Submit for Review to submit the Mini Program to 字节跳动 for review. After 字节跳动 approves it, return to this page to release the Mini Program. If the review is not approved, you need to make modifications according to the 字节跳动 review comments and resubmit for review.
