Method for mounting FSS object storage to our company's Windows cloud server
Published: 2020-11-28
FSS object storage can be mounted to a cloud host for storing large files such as videos and backups that do not need frequent read/write. It is not suitable for scenarios such as databases that have high IO requirements and frequent read/write.
1. Remotely log in to the server, open Control Panel, and then click “Turn Windows features on or off”.

Windows 2008 system:
Select “Features” -- Add Features, then check “Desktop Experience” as shown in the figure, and click Next to complete the installation. The installation process may take a long time; just wait patiently. After installation, you need to restart the server.

Windows 2012 system:
Click User Interfaces and Infrastructure, select Desktop Experience, the option Ink and Handwriting Services will pop up, click Add Features, and restart the server after installation is complete.

Windows 2016, Windows 2019:
Click Add Roles and Features On the “Select Installation Type” page, select Role-based or feature-based installation. By default, it is selected; click Next.
Under Features, checkWebDAV Redirector. Restart the server after installation is complete.
