Solution to wordpress being unable to install/update themes and plugins

Recently, the WordPress official website cannot be accessed normally in China. It often prompts "429 Too Many Requests", and upgrades of backend program versions, themes, and plugins often fail. Currently, a very useful plugin has been found: WP-China-Yes. You can install this plugin. Download and unzip it, upload the directory to wp-content/plugins/, and then log in to the website backend to activate the plugin.

  • 1. After uploading the downloaded file to the wp-content/plugins/ directory, log in to the backend plugin settings and activate the plugin, otherwise it will not take effect.

  • 2. Later, you can update the plugin version directly in the backend plugin management, or go to the project's Github release page to download the new version, upload and overwrite it to complete the update.

  • 3. For acceleration settings, please select the option shown in the image below
