Cloud Server Traffic Billing Feature

    Currently, 西部数码 Elastic Cloud Servers already support traffic-based billing mode. The relevant instructions are as follows.

I. Activation and Selection

1. Traffic-based billing is suitable for scenarios where bandwidth usage is usually low but intermittent network access peaks occur. If there are no special requirements, it is recommended to choose bandwidth-based billing;

3. You can set the peak bandwidth (maximum 1000M for 电信 and 西南枢纽, 100M for other lines) to prevent high fees caused by burst traffic.

II. Settlement and Deduction

1. Traffic-based billing is a postpaid mode. Billing is based on actual traffic usage every hour. If the balance is insufficient, you will be notified by email and WeChat.

2. Simulated deduction: Traffic usage is counted every hour, and a simulated deduction is made. The system checks whether the account balance is sufficient. If insufficient balance is detected for the first time, an email notification will be sent. If it remains insufficient for three consecutive times, the network will be disconnected. After topping up the fees, the user needs to click “Connect” themselves to restore the network connection.

3. Actual deduction: At 7:00 every day, the traffic fees generated the previous day are settled and deducted. For a single server, the traffic fee is deducted once it accumulates to 10 yuan. If the accumulated traffic fee in the current month is less than 10 yuan, it will be deducted in one lump sum at the end of the month. For expired servers, it will be deducted in one lump sum on the second day after expiration.

4. Handling of insufficient balance: The account will be overdrawn, and the server's network connection will be disconnected. The fees must be topped up and the account balance must be greater than 100 yuan before it can be restored.

5. Traffic settlement prices are accurate to the cent.

6. Billing is based on the maximum value of uplink/downlink traffic. (Includes traffic generated by FTP, various cloud drives, etc. connected to the external network.)

IV. Shared Traffic Package

    Relevant rules and instructions are as follows:

1. After the traffic package is purchased, no settings are required and it can be used automatically;

2. The traffic package can automatically offset the traffic generated by Elastic Cloud Servers billed by usage on the same line. The same traffic package can offset the traffic of multiple servers;

2. Traffic packages are offset in order of expiration time, i.e., the package expiring first is offset first;

3. After the traffic package is purchased, the rules cannot be modified. If more traffic is needed, you can purchase another traffic package;

4. If the traffic package expires before being fully used, it will be automatically reset to zero. Please purchase reasonably based on your usage;

5. Used traffic will not be deducted in real time. At 7:00 every day, the total traffic generated the previous day will be deducted in a unified manner;

6. After the traffic package is used up, the account balance will be deducted according to the traffic-based billing method;

7. The price of the traffic package is the same as pay-by-traffic. Purchasing a traffic package can avoid inconveniences such as network disconnection caused by insufficient account balance.
