Container Cloud Provisioning and Instructions
1. Container Cloud Provisioning
Container Cloud provisioning is basically the same as for Elastic Cloud Server. On the Container Cloud Purchase Page, select the configuration, line, network and billing method, disk type, image to be installed, purchase duration and quantity, fill in the hostname, add to cart and checkout to provision. The provisioning process takes some time; under normal circumstances it does not exceed 10 seconds. Please wait patiently. When the status changes to "normal", provisioning is successful and you can manage and use it.
2. Container Cloud Provisioning Instructions
Configuration/Option | Concept/Option | Description |
vCPU | Determines computing power; more is better. | The computing power of one vCPU is 500MHz. |
Memory | Determines running speed; more is faster. | An equal amount of swap memory is provided. |
System Disk | Used to install and run images. | Minimum is 30G, and it can only be purchased in multiples of 10; Installing images will occupy system disk space, so please ensure sufficient space. |
Data Disk | Used to store data. | Minimum optional is 0G, and it can only be purchased in multiples of 10. |
Line | The data center line of the underlying server where the container is provisioned. | Intelligent Multi-line: In this data center, China Unicom users also have fast access speeds, which can meet interconnection needs; Central China BGP: It has the best access stability and speed. If there are many China Mobile users, it is recommended to choose this line. Hong Kong 163: Pure Hong Kong data center; VPN and other prohibited applications are strictly forbidden. |
Network | Different networks have different charges and provide different IP functions. | Private Network: Free by default, automatically assigns a private IP address; Dedicated IP Public Network: Uses a dedicated IP for public network communication; Shared IP Public Network: Uses a shared IP for public network communication; Both dedicated and shared IP public networks support billing by bandwidth and by traffic. |
Billing Method | For dedicated and shared IP public networks, you can choose billing by bandwidth or by traffic. | Billing by bandwidth: Limits the maximum inbound/outbound bandwidth. Billing by traffic: After traffic is used up, the NIC will be suspended and can be restored by recharging a traffic package; When selecting billing by traffic, you can also set a bandwidth limit, up to 200M; Changing the billing method after provisioning is currently not supported. |
Disk Type | Divided into: Standard, Enhanced, High-speed. | Different disk types have different read/write capabilities, and the corresponding IOPS are: Standard 300, Enhanced 500, High-speed 1000; For database applications, it is recommended to choose high-speed disks. |
Image | Indicates the operating system, applications, environment components, etc. installed in the container. | West Digital Images: "clean" is a clean system. If you need common website building components preinstalled, please choose the wdcp version; Official Images: DocKer official genuine images, free to use, recommended for professionals; Custom Images: You can create an image from a deployed Container Cloud environment. When provisioning a new container, select it to install and easily replicate. Images support cross-cluster use. We provide 5G of free image storage space. West Digital Image Component Notes: west_centos6_wdcp_v3.3: Supports php5.3, mysql5.5, ngxing, apache, redis, memcache, ssh by default, suitable for containers with average configurations. west_centos6_wdcp_v3.3_all: Same as above, with additional multiple PHP versions php5.2 5.3 5.4 5.5 5.6 7.0 7.1 7.2, suitable for containers with higher configurations. west_centos7_wdcp_v3.3: Supports php5.5, mysql5.7, ngxing, apache, redis, memcache, ssh by default, suitable for containers with average configurations. west_centos7_wdcp_v3.3_all: Same as above, with additional multiple PHP versions 5.4 5.5 5.6 7.0 7.1 7.2 7.3, suitable for containers with higher configurations. |
Run Command | The command executed when the container starts. | If command parameters are set incorrectly, the container may fail to start. Please set them carefully! If there is no special requirement, it is recommended not to fill in. |
Environment Variables | Set environment variables for the container. | Can be understood as Windows environment variables. There is no limit on the number added. |
Hostname | Name the hosts provisioned this time. Mainly used to distinguish the provisioned hosts. | Can consist of digits, letters, .-_, such as: west or west-01. .-_ cannot be at the beginning or end, and cannot appear two or more consecutively. When provisioning multiple hosts at the same time, separate hostnames with English commas (,), such as: west-01,west-02,west-03. |
Host | The underlying server on which containers are provisioned. | Containers provisioned on different host servers can also be networked. |
