asp.net Access Denied Handling
Published: 2018-07-13
In the early morning of July 12, Microsoft released a routine patch update. After the servers were updated, some Asp.net websites experienced access denied, as shown below:

At present, our company's troubleshooting indicates that this is caused by the new patch being incompatible with the old Urewrite module. The two handling methods are as follows:
Uninstall the updated patch. The patch is as shown below (Recommended)

2. Modify the website's web.config file and replace URewirte with the new version
<system.webServer>
<rewrite>
<rules>
</rules>
</rewrite>
</system.webServer>
Replace with
<add type="URLRewriter.ModuleRewriter, URLRewriter" name="ModuleRewriter"/>
<RewriterConfig>
<Rules>
<RewriterRule>
</RewriterRule>
</Rules>
</RewriterConfig>
and
<rewrite url="^~/$" to="~/index.aspx" processing="stop" />
In addition, there are reports that after using Microsoft FTP Service to update patches, problems such as FTP being unable to connect and restarting occur. Uninstall the following patches
win2012
wusa /uninstall /kb:4338830 /quiet /forcerestart
win2008
wusa /uninstall /kb:4338818 /quiet /forcerestart
