How to set SPF records for enterprise email hosting?
Published: 2018-04-24
What is SPF?
(Sender Policy Framework) abbreviation, a technology that authenticates the identity of email senders by IP address, and a very efficient spam solution.
The receiving mail party will first check the domain's SPF record to determine whether the sender's IP address is included in the SPF record. If it is, the email is considered legitimate; otherwise, it is considered a forged email and will be returned or directly delivered to spam.
SPF can prevent others from sending spam in your name and prevent emails from being rejected.
QQ, 163 mailboxes will first check the domain's SPF record. To improve the success rate of emails sent from a domain mailbox to external domains (such as QQ and 163 mailboxes), it is recommended that you set a TXT record for your domain to avoid this situation.
Our company's mail service SPF record settings are as follows (if there are other parameters, please keep the default):
Host name: @
Type: TXT
Value: v=spf1 include:yunyou.top -all
For other DNS records, please refer to the tutorial: https://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=21
If the domain is registered with another company, please send this article to the domain registrar so they can assist with the setup.
