Symptoms:

Cause of the problem:

  1. Loss of directory permissions

  2. The password of the computer user account ftpname is inconsistent with that recorded in IIS. The main reason is that the site was not created according to the standard process of Website Management Assistant. For example, after Website Management Assistant creates it, the website root directory was manually specified in IIS to another directory, which will cause the new directory to lack the necessary permissions. It is recommended not to manually modify the directory path in IIS.

Solution: 1. If the website was created with Website Management Assistant, in the Management Assistant double-click this site, then click "Fix the issue that you are not authorized to view this page" and it will be resolved. (If you do not have this button, please upgrade the software to the latest version)

Solution for a website manually created by yourself:

Step 1: Please go to My Computer--right-click--Manage--Local Users and Groups--Users--select the user corresponding to your site(if there is none, please directly create a new user corresponding to the site)---right-click---Set Password---in the pop-up warning box click Continue---after setting a new password click OK.As shown in the figure:

Step 2: Double-click Internet Information Services(IIS) Manager on the desktop---Sites---the site you want to configure---right-click---Properties---Directory Security---under Authentication and Access Control click  Edit---select Enable Anonymous Access---for User name enter the username from Step 1---for Password enter the password set in Step 1---OK---enter the password again---OK---OK

Step 3: Go to the D:\wwwroot directory and select the site you are operating on---right-click---Properties---Security---add the username you just set and give it Full Control permission---OK.As shown in the figure:

If these permissions already exist and access still prompts unauthorized, please right-click the site directory—Properties—Security—Advanced—check "Replace all child object permission entries with the permission entries shown here that apply to child objects"—Apply and confirm, as shown in the figure:
