Published: 2012-04-22
Note: Shared IP hosts are not supported(i.e., shared IP hosts assigned IPs 10.100.1.*, 192.168.*.* are not supported)
1. Independent IP Vps, cloud host, dedicated host
First, remotely log in to the server. If you do not know how to connect remotely, please first refer to:http://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=417
Allow port 3306 on the server:http://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=420
Warning: Enabling root remote login poses security risks. Please set the root password as complex as possible, or change the host value to your local IP address (if your local IP is not static, after modification, re-dialing to connect to the Internet will change the IP, and you will also be unable to connect remotely)
1. Windows system host:
Method ①: You can use phpmyadmin to connect and log in to mysql, select the mysql database, open the user table, select the user for which you need to enable remote connection, click Quick Edit, and change the value in the host column to % to complete it.
Method ②: Use the command method to modify it. Open Start—Run—enter cmd and press Enter, then enter the content in the green box. Note that including the semicolon, it must be entered in English input mode. The black part is displayed by the system.

mysql> use mysql;
mysql> update user set host="%" where user="root";
mysql> flush privileges;
2. Linux system host:
Linux systems with the preinstalled WD system can log in to the control panel and then click phpmyadmin in Website Management

Or directly visit http://the provided second-level domain:8080/phpmyadmin/, enter the mysql account and password to log in. The subsequent operations are the same as Method ① for independent IP. The command method is the same as Method ② for windows systems, except that it is not executed under cmd, but instead run the command directly after ssh remote login.
