Create a sub-site on the cloud host server.
Published: 2011-03-02
A subsite is only relative to the original website; its directory is under a subdirectory of the main website, so we call it a subsite, and the subsite itself is also a new website, so setting up a subsite is actually creating a new site.
The Management Assistant supports subsite creation. For details, please refer to: https://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=659
If the website is created manually, you need to create the site manually. Refer to the following steps
We take a subsite under the main site, bbs as an example, so that it can be accessed via bbs.myweb.com.
Open Internet Information Services(IIS) Manager, click “Websites”, right-click “Add Website”

In Website Name, enter the subsite name to be displayed in IIS, e.g.: BBS
In Binding, enter the domain name to be accessed in Host name, for example: bbs.myweb.com
Content Directory - Physical Path should point to the subsite directory, e.g.: D:\wwwroot\myweb\wwwroot\bbs

Website access permissions: generally check the first two, as shown in the figure:

At this point, the site has been created, but you may still see two kinds of errors when opening it:
You must perform the following two steps before you can access the website normally
Click the newly created bbs site and select “Basic Settings”, as shown in the figure:

Select “Connect as”—“Specific user”, click Settings, as shown in the figure:

Set the username and password to the FTP account and password in the Website Management Assistant, as shown in the figure:

Click Default Document, Add, and add your website homepage files, such as index.asp, index.php, etc., as shown in the figure:

If you do not add a default document, the following error may be prompted:
At this point, the process of creating a new subsite is complete. You can use your subsite domain name, such as bbs.myweb.com, to access and test it, as shown in the figure:
