Domain Idle Template Usage Instructions

I. What is an idle template?

Because the registry will charge a template real-name review fee, an idle template refers to a template that is provided free of charge to an account and has not been bound to any domain name. At present, our company's quota for the number of idle templates is direct customers 50, cooperative agent users 600.

II. How is the number of idle templates calculated?

An idle template always refers to a template that has not been bound to any domain name. When an idle template is used to register/transfer in/transfer ownership of a domain name, it will no longer be an idle template, and the quota occupied by that template will be returned. Deleting an idle template will not release the quota it occupies; that is, after deleting an idle template, the remaining number of idle templates will not change. Examples are as follows,

Direct customer A has a quota of 50 idle templates. The reference situations are:

① A newly created 1 template and submitted it for real-name verification, then deleted it after creation; the remaining idle template quota is 49.

② A newly created 1 template and submitted it for real-name verification, and used this template to register/transfer in/transfer ownership of a domain name; the idle template quota is still 50.

III. What should I do if the idle templates are used up and domain name registration fails?

Because when filling in new template information to register a domain name, the account's idle template quota will be checked. You can first use an idle template to register a domain name, and after the domain name is registered, create a new template to transfer ownership.

IV. Can the idle template quota be increased?

If the idle templates under your account have been used up, you can also submit a ticket to purchase quota with a fee. The fee is 1 yuan/unit idle template.

V. How can I check the number of idle templates in the account?

Please log in to the Management Center - Domain Management - Template Management and check in the upper right corner. For example: idle templates maximum 5, 4 remaining.
