Preparation before migration:

[Very Important]:If a domain name resolves directly to an IP, please modify the resolution to point to the corresponding alias s-xxxxxx.gotocdn.com. If the website or application internally calls the IP directly, it also needs to be modified. If 百度云加速 is enabled on the host, please disable it in advance.

Specific operation steps:

1. Shut down

You must first log in to the server and shut it down. If you do not know how to connect remotely, refer to: https://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=417 

Windows:

After logging in to the server, to be safe, first stop the website, shut down the database service, and save any unsaved documents.

Select Shut down from the Start menu. As shown in the figure.

Or directly enter shutdown /s /f in the command line  The system will prompt that it will shut down within one minute.

Linux shutdown:

After logging in via ssh, enter halt -p

After performing the shutdown, wait one or two minutes before performing the following change of data center route.

2. Change data center route.

In [Business Management], click the menu [Server Management], find the server that needs to be migrated, click the corresponding server's [Upgrade] button, and click [Change Data Center Route].

Select the 华中BGP cluster data center, and for the new cluster ID select ZZ10G-1. After migration is complete, you need to change to the new IP, so be sure to fill in the current server password.

After adding, the migration progress will be displayed

Note: Depending on the data size and migration load, generally 100G of data takes about 3-6 hours.

3. Configure new IP

After completion, the system will display the new IP information (the server login password is still the previous one). Refer tohttps://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=456 to reconfigure the new IP.

FAQs:

1. Migration deadline?

Answer: Within 15 days of receiving the notice, please choose a time according to your actual situation and complete the migration yourself (operation during non-peak business hours is recommended, such as at night, on Saturdays or Sundays).

2. Are there any fees?

Answer: Upgrading from 华北BGP data center to 华中BGP, 智能多线, or 电信机房 does not incur any fees.

3. How much time does the transfer take? Will the cloud server be interrupted during the process, and for how long?

Answer: Based on testing: 100G of data takes about 3-6 hours. During the transfer, the cloud server will be interrupted. The interruption time is the migration time (100G of data is interrupted for about 3-6 hours).

4. Does the domain name need to be resolved again?

Answer: If the domain name resolves to a second-level domain name, it does not need to be resolved again; if it previously resolved directly to an IP, it needs to be resolved again. It is recommended that all domain names resolve to the provided second-level domain name.

5. Does the domain name whitelist need to be submitted again?

Answer: The domain name whitelist does not need to be submitted again.

6. Does the corresponding host IP in the ICP filing need to be modified?

Answer: In principle, the ICP filing does not need to be modified. It can also be modified: log in to the ICP filing system and modify it directly to the new IP. Modifying the ICP filing IP will not be submitted to the Administration Bureau for review and has no impact.

7. Do users need to migrate data themselves?
Answer: No. Using our company's "Change Data Center Route" function, the system automatically migrates all data, which is equivalent to relocating the entire cloud server as a whole.
