Group Buy
I. Function Description
The "Group Buy" feature is a marketing activity in which merchants sell specific products at a discounted price within an agreed time and subject to the condition of reaching a group size. Merchants can set in the backend the group-buy products, group-buy price, activity duration, number of participants, purchase limit for activity products, and other information. By encouraging buyers to initiate group buys and invite friends to purchase quality products at discounted prices, it also brings better dissemination effects to the store.
1. Group-buy products are activity products, so they do not support being added to the shopping cart and settled together with other products; only direct purchase at the original price and direct group-buy purchase are supported;
2. To support group-buy activities, the Micro Page will have a corresponding group-buy component. Merchants can use the group-buy component to build a group-buy special activity page, create a marketing atmosphere, and expose the activity at the earliest opportunity;
3. Group-buy stock must be less than the product's original stock (group-buy stock is deducted from the product's original stock), the group-buy price must be less than the original price, and the group-buy price is independent. After the group-buy activity ends, the original price is quickly restored, traffic is not wasted, and more transactions are generated;
4. During the activity validity period, if the number of participants is insufficient, the merchant cannot ship and must wait for the group to form; conversely, once the required number of participants is reached, the group buy is successful and the merchant ships;
5. During the activity validity period, if the group buy fails, the order is closed and automatically refunded to the user;
6. In the same time period, a product can only participate in one group-buy or flash-sale activity;
7. Merchants can set in the backend whether group-buy activities can be stacked with marketing functions such as coupons and full reduction;
8. If the group-buy product is in the promoter's promoted product list, the promoter can still obtain commission after successful promotion (calculated based on the group-buy price);
9. Products with the group-buy function added have a "Group Buy" label on the default mall list page.
II. Operation Steps
Step 1: Set Up a Group Buy Activity
1. In the Mini Program management backend, click "Mall - Group Buy" to enter the group-buy page for adding and editing;
2. Click the [New Group Buy Activity] button to jump to the basic configuration page for group-buy activities, and fill in the basic parameters;
3. Click the [Select Product] button, and in the pop-up dialog select a published product. If no product has been published yet, please click "Mall - Publish Product" to publish a product on that page (for specific operation steps, see Product Publishing and Management);
4. After filling in the parameters and selecting products, click the [Save] button. You can then view the group-buy activity just created, and you can also edit and delete that group-buy activity.
Step 2: Add the Group Buy Component in the Micro Page
1. After a group-buy activity is created, how do you make it display in the Mini Program? At this time, you need to use the group-buy component in the Micro Page. After the user activates the Mall application, the group-buy component will be automatically generated in the application components.
On the "Micro Page Creation" page, open an existing Micro Page (if you need to add group-buy products in this Micro Page) or create a new Micro Page, add the "Application Component—Group Buy" component, click the "+" icon in the group-buy settings panel on the right, and then select the created group-buy activity:
2. Set an entry link for the Micro Page or add the Micro Page as bottom navigation, and then you can view the added group-buy activity in the Mini Program. The effect in the Mini Program is as shown below:
About purchase limits: "Per-person purchase limit" calculates the maximum total quantity a single buyer can purchase within the activity time (not limited by the number of group purchases), not the maximum quantity per single purchase. For example, if the per-person purchase limit is set to 5, and the buyer purchases 3 items the first time, then the second time they can purchase at most 2 items; if they purchase 5 items the first time, then they cannot purchase again the second time.
