This article will explain the SSL certificate installation tutorial for servers under the windows 2003 operating system and IIS 6 environment.

Before installation, please prepare the SSL certificate. If you do not have one, you can click here to apply for an SSL certificate>>>

Before deployment, please exit the antivirus software installed on the server (security software such as 360, 金山, 安全狗, etc. may cause SSL certificate deployment errors)

1. Extract the certificate file. After extracting the certificate file, find the archive with the .pfx suffix and extract it to a fixed location.

2. Import the certificate. 1. Open IIS Manager (or Start - Run - enter inetmgr - press Enter).

2. Under "Multiple SSL identities for this Web site", click "Add", enter the SSL port as: 443, and click OK to finish (the default server has this setting, so you can skip this step; if it does not, you can add it).

tips: If the server has multiple public IPs, please assign a public IP consistent with the DNS resolution to this website.

Special attention:

After deployment, if the website cannot be accessed normally via https, you can check whether port 443 on the server is open or is blocked by acceleration tools such as 网站卫士.

(1) How to enable: Firewall Settings - Exception Ports - Add port 443 (TCP).

(2) If it is blocked by security or acceleration tools, you can add 443 to the trusted list in the interception records.

After restarting the service, you can access it via https~
