WeChat Pay Application Process:

(1) Apply for a WeChat Certified Service Account or Certified Subscription Account (government and media types only)

(2) Submit business information (contact name, mobile phone number, email, merchant short name, business category, special qualifications, brief description of goods sold, customer service phone number, company website, supplementary materials, etc.)

  Submit merchant information (mainly information automatically pulled by WeChat; check whether it is correct, and modify any incorrect parts)

  Submit settlement account information (account opening bank, account opening city, account opening branch, account number)

Submit for review (1-5 working days)

(3) After the review is approved, WeChat will transfer an amount of money to the provided bank card for verification. Then, through the important information sent to the email address, obtain the merchant account and password; that is, you can obtain the API development documentation to develop the payment interface. In addition, you also need to download two contracts for signing. After signing, mail them back to Tencent according to the provided address. Tencent will check and stamp them, then mail them back.

Note: If applying for Official Account Payment, the merchant needs to sign the "WeChat Official Account Platform Merchant Function Service Agreement" and the "WeChat Pay Service Agreement"; if applying only for APP Payment, the merchant only needs to sign the "WeChat Pay Service Agreement" (download, stamp, and mail back), and does not need to sign the "WeChat Official Account Platform Merchant Function Service Agreement"; if applying for both Official Account Payment and APP Payment, sign the "WeChat Official Account Platform Merchant Function Service Agreement" and the "WeChat Pay Service Agreement";
