[Create Snapshot]: You can create snapshots of data disks and system disks. This function is generally not used. To prevent abuse by users from causing high disk load, the interval between manually created snapshots is 8 hours.

Example of applicable scenario: Suppose you want to reinstall the win2008 system to the win2012 system to test a certain function. At this time, you can create a snapshot, then reinstall the system, and then use [Snapshot Rollback] to restore to the current data.

[Enable Advanced Cloud Snapshot]: By default, only the latest two snapshots are available. After enabling, 5 snapshots will be retained. Snapshots 1-4 are backups from the most recent 4 days, and the 5th is a backup from the most recent 5-15 days. After enabling, you can set the snapshot backup frequency.

Note: If Advanced Cloud Snapshot is not enabled and you want to restore data from two days ago, the charge is 980 yuan/time (the specific recoverable time must be confirmed by submitting a ticket). To enjoy more backups, it is recommended to enable Advanced Cloud Snapshot. For 10 yuan/month, you can enjoy 5 snapshot backups, and 5 will be retained from the date of activation.

[Snapshot Mount]: Mounting a disk is equivalent to connecting a USB drive, which contains backup data for the corresponding time, so you can copy the needed data in a targeted manner

Note: Linux requires mounting partitions by command. To avoid confusion, if you are not familiar with the Linux system, do not mount the system disk together with the data disk. The following text will introduce data disk mount, copy, and recovery.

[Snapshot Rollback]: Use snapshot data for full-disk recovery. It will overwrite the current data. It is applicable when the system is damaged and cannot boot or the current data is not needed. To prevent abuse by users from causing disk load, another snapshot rollback operation requires an interval of 8 hours.

After mounting, log in to the server to operate the disk.

For Windows systems, please refer to:https://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=2243

For Linux systems, please refer to:https://www.west.cn/faq/list.asp?unid=2245

Note: After copying and restoring the data, you must shut down so that the system can unmount it, then power on and use it.

If you do not shut down to unmount, the server will also shut down and restart when it automatically unmounts in the early morning (which may affect data). In addition, do not modify the mounted disk or store other important data on it.

Snapshot Rollback

Select the snapshot time to roll back to, and click [Snapshot Rollback]. The system will restore to the currently selected snapshot data. All original data will be deleted and replaced. If not necessary, it is recommended to choose carefully.
